Using Focused View in Dynamics 365 Sales

Focused view saves you time switching between records in Dynamics

Focused view lets you scroll through records and open them without switching back and forward like in your standard Dynamics set up. It’s available in most popular tables like contacts, leads, accounts, or opportunities and can be activated in other tables by your administrator

To enter focused mode, view a list page and click the Focused view icon in the command bar

You’ll now see

  • a new page with a list of records on the left hand side
  • the regular record view and edit area on the right hand side

When you click any item in the left hand panel, the record immediately opens. It’s so fast to move between records now.

What about my views?

You may have particular views which you like to use – things like ‘my leads’, ‘all open opportunities’, ‘my accounts’. These are just as easy to access as before – just click the down arrow at the top of the record list and choose the view you wish to see. Simple!

Filters

You can take things further and filter your record list – like on an ecommerce website. Just click the filter icon and you can drill down to a very specific selection of records – by date, job title and more fields.

and more

  • Use the search box to look for records in the list – it’s fast
  • In the 3 dots menu, you’ll find settings, where you can change the appearance of the record list
  • You can sort records using the sort icon
  • To switch back to the standard view, click the list icon beside the filter icon.
