The company

ETL Systems is a global provider of RF distribution equipment and engineering services for satellite earth station antennas. ETL offers complete turnkey solutions as well as individual components and accessories.

Their customers include satellite operators, broadcasters, telcos, enterprise, and government organisations.

The opportunity

ETL was relying on a combination of manual processes, Excel spreadsheets, and custom middleware to handle quoting and pricing. This resulted in several pain points:

  • Difficulty updating pricing and product info which required IT services at high cost
  • Inability to easily report on product sales and pipeline
  • Duplicate data entry across different systems
  • Reliance on fragile links between systems
  • Limited flexibility to make changes to quotes

What ETL needed

To address these challenges, ETL wanted a flexible system to handle the entire quoting and order process within a single solution. The main requirements included:

Our process

We installed and customised Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales to deliver an end-to-end solution meeting ETL’s needs. Our process included:

  • Analysis of existing spreadsheets, forms, and requirements
  • Design of data model, workflows, and integrations in Dynamics 365
  • Development of customised product configurator and quote generator
  • Testing and user acceptance
  • Training on new solution
  • Migration of existing quote data
