Here’s a run down of updates to Dynamics 365 Sales which you’ll see in your system soon.
Note: some of these improvements only apply to users with a Sales Enterprise or Premium licence.
New Copilot Features and Improvements (Available Oct 2023)
Sales Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant built-in to Dynamics Sales. It helps sellers increase productivity and focus on their core job, not admin.
- AI-generated lead, account and opportunity summaries provide sellers with quick overviews of important information to help them prioritise and personalise contact. This saves sellers time previously spent compiling information manually.
- The meeting preparation feature helps sellers to review recent communications and notes before customer meetings to identify important talking points.

- Content recommendations based on customer context suggest relevant sales collateral to share with prospects after a salesperson receives an email.
- News and updates appear within Copilot to sellers informed about customers’ industries to enable more knowledgeable conversations.

Sales Engagement (Available Oct 2023 except where noted)
- SMS messaging in Dynamics 365 provides sellers with an additional channel to communicate with prospects.
- Enhanced sales sequence capabilities like multiple sequence assignment, loops, and performance tracking will make sales workflows more sophisticated and effective.
- Faster form loading and navigation updates will help sellers move through records more efficiently in the sales accelerator workspace.

Lead and Opportunity Management
- Auto-created follow up tasks from emails and messages reduce manual note taking and ensure sellers follow through on needed actions. Available Nov 2023.
- Opportunity creation forms releasing in Nov 2023 will simplify and streamline the process of capturing new opportunity data.
- AI-powered account suggestions coming in Jan 2024 will recommend targeted accounts and workflows to focus sales efforts.
User Experience (Available Oct 2023)
- Updated styling, controls, headers and sections will give Dynamics 365 Sales a more modern, visually appealing look and feel.
- New command bar design provides a more intuitive navigation experience to help reduce training time and increase adoption.
