Here’s what improvements you can expect between April 2022 and September 2022 if you use Dynamics 365 Marketing. The updates are part of Microsoft’s Wave 1 release cycle
Real-time marketing: trigger a Power Automate flow or another journey from within a journey
- You’ll see a new journey tile – trigger an event.
- You add this tile to any real-time journey and
- Move customers to another journey
- Trigger a Power Automate flow
- Create Dynamics 365 activities

Trigger journeys when data changes in any Dynamics 365 app
- Start a journey when any data changes within the Microsoft Dataverse – for example
- An order is made
- A support case is raised
- Any data value changes or new rows are added (a new contact record etc)

On the unified timeline, you can now see

Improvements to dynamic content in the email editor
You can add regularly used dynamic fields (tokens) to a quick select list, making it faster and simpler to add dynamic text like First name or Job Title

Create conditional dynamic content with no coding
Each content block in an email can be targeted at a specific segment or data attribute. This means emails can be hyper-personalised based on customer data and previous actions
Available June 2022
In customer journeys, wait for an action to happen
Set a series of actions to run whilst you wait for an exit condition to be met – for example send a series of reminders whilst you wait for a customer to reply

Improved segment builder
